Jr Account Executive - K12 (Evergreen)

We have an opening for a Junior Account Executive focused on the K12 market to support revenue growth, assist in closing deals, and help expand market presence while developing your sales skills in a dynamic environment. This role provides a chance to learn and grow in the field of sales while making a meaningful impact.
In this role, you will:
- Support Sales & New Logo Acquisition: Assist in identifying, prospecting, and developing new opportunities within K12 institutions (public school districts, public schools & private/independent schools). Work on building and maintaining your pipeline while learning best practices in sales.
- Assist in Outside Sales Activities: Participate in proactive outbound outreach efforts, including virtual meetings with key stakeholders and supporting in-person events when needed. Travel may be required on occasion, mainly for conferences.
- Gain Vertical Expertise: Build foundational knowledge of the K12 sector. Stay informed about industry trends and apply insights to understand client needs. Coming in with a background and network in the K12 sector is ideal.
- Present Solutions with Guidance: Deliver product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting the value of WeVideo’s platform. Learn how to tailor presentations to specific educational needs. Must have strong communication and presentation skills and be able to present with energy and enthusiasm.
- Learn to Navigate Sales Cycles: Assist with long and complex sales processes under the guidance of senior team members. Develop sales skills in understanding organizational priorities and proposing impactful solutions.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales strategies and learn about the overall sales process. Given this role is market-facing, this role will require some GTM activities and is a great fit for someone looking to be a shaper and a builder of the strategy! In this role, it will be necessary to work and collaborate with an enterprise seller so strong interpersonal skills are key.
- Build Relationships: Assist in developing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers at schools.
- Contribute to Contract Negotiations: Support contract discussions and learn the negotiation process, working closely with senior sales executives.
- Stay Informed: Learn about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and K12 policies to inform your sales approach. Looking for a candidate who will commit to becoming an industry expert by studying and immersing themselves in the market.
- Report Progress: Provide regular updates on your activities, pipeline status, and learning progress. This role will require a daily hustle of outbound prospecting.
Requirements:
- Some Sales Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field, preferably within the education technology sector or selling to K12 institutions (public schools or public school districts experience is ideal)
- Interest in Outside Sales: Willingness to engage in outside sales activities, including field visits and attending networking events to support outreach efforts.
- Basic Understanding of K12 Sector: Interest in learning about the unique challenges and purchasing processes within K12 institutions.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a desire to develop presentation skills.
- Relationship Building: Willingness to learn how to build long-term relationships with K12 administrators and faculty.
- Willingness to Learn Negotiation: Interest in learning how to negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to learn how to conduct needs analyses and develop tailored sales strategies.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with educational technology platforms and open to learning new software products.
- Self-motivated & Eager to Grow: A strong work ethic with a desire to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Collaboration: Willingness to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and learn from experienced colleagues.
- Education: A degree in business, education, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant experience may be considered.
- Willingness to Travel: Openness to occasional travel for client meetings and industry events.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 + Commission
